Then came February 12th, and I traded mountains for ocean waves. Puerto Escondido was calling, and my next stop was Casato. After checking in, I sought out Kakurega for an intimate omakase dinner—each piece of sushi felt like poetry. The next morning, I met the waves, surfboard under arm, ready to learn from the pulse of the Pacific.
